Season Pass Pass lets to obtain rewards from previous Destiny 2 season passes that you forgot to pull, such as missing ornaments, exotics, or exotic cypers.
Note: You must have owned that season (either by purchasing the Season Pass when it was live, or that year's annual DLC) to be able to pull any rewards. If you owned but did not play the season, you'll only be able to pull the exotic from the first reward.
Over time very old seasons become unavailable in the Destiny API - only season's that have rewards to be pulled are visible in the API. Each Destiny 2 season carries a risk of Bungie removing older seasons, so do not leave rewards unobtained that you would be upset if you lost.
